Even though it has been only about ten years or so, back then it was the obsession of the media and most people found the situation shocking. In some ways, it seems like our culture has become more numb to the mistreatment of children in that time frame. They apparently have no contact with their daughter. I don”t blame them one bit.

Thank you Mandy. You’re so on. I always thought her dad had his ‘knowing’ while her mom clings to denial. I can’t imagine the position of a parent who’s child murders their grandchild. Shattering. I’m surprised they’re still together (didn’t recognizer her). Most marriages don’t survive such a trauma. Wasn’t he a retired cop?
