War crimes are defined by those who win each war, and seldom prosecuted against anyone but the losers. Training people to be first class killers, particularly those who have to overcome personal beliefs to do it, requires demonizing the enemy. Expecting that to be contained by rules of engagement works less and less as the soldiers see their comrades gunned down, or worse taken out by an insurgency concealed and shielded by civilians
What percentage descend into barbarism? I would think the percentage increases over time and during insurgencies or during the final overruns of battle, like the fall of Berlin. The battlefield in Gaza is an insurgents dream. I would not want to be an infantry soldier going in there. With all the destruction of buildings during the air strikes, it will be a nest of snipers and IED’s, with human shields everywhere. It is beyond disturbing to hear supposed leaders like Nikki Haley and Lindsay Graham in a full scale emotional state of bloodlust, calling for massive escalation toward Iran, without not one thought of logic. With the clowns like Mark Milley or his like in charge and bloodthirsty emotion crazed leaders pushing them, God help our military.
We will never know how the minds of ‘hard-core’ soldiers from the past seems to work….[before
the labeling of PTSD]. I have actually read where the secrets can cause prostrate cancer…maybe they are laughing about it rather than crying about it….like when we sometimes hear horrific news, we might laugh in disbelief?
I have also read that African Americans can be born with hatred in their hearts from years of slavery….[in their DNA through the generations? Come on…]. If that is true, that means every single terrorist was born with hatred in their little hearts….makes me wonder what is said in the mosques to form this sort of brainwashing and to hear for years violence done to infidels or to grow to fight over land.
What bothers me the most right now is how the division is happening so quickly between support for the Jewish people and support for these terrorists….I have always kept an eye on those that were anti-Israel….(ex: jon stewart and other hollywood figures: barbara streisand, gloria steinem, jamie lee curtis…).
In total, eight progressive members of the Democratic caucus failed to back Israel against the existential threat it is facing: Reps. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush, Greg Casar, and Summer Lee all came up short over the weekend.

A Red Diaper baby, her father, maternal grandfather and father-in-law (Vernon Jarrett who was a close friend and ally of Obama mentor Frank Marshall Davis) were hardcore Communists under investigation by the U.S. government. She has been pushing a strong anti-American, Islamist, anti-Israeli, socialist/communist, cling-to-power agenda.
Jimmy Carter – Carter ignited modern day radical Islam by abandoning the Shah and paving the way for Ayatollah Khomeini to take power in Tehran. Iran subsequently became the main state sponsor and promoter of international Islamic terrorism. When Islamists took over our embassy in Tehran, Carter was too weak to effectively respond thus strengthening the rule of the radical Islamic mullahs.
Of course the king of all of this is george $oro$…& his puppet Barack Hussein Obama – pushing radical identity politics. Obama’s open support for the Iranian mullahs and his apologetic “lead from behind” foreign policy seriously weakened America abroad. His blatant attempt to interfere in Israel’s election trying to unseat Netanyahu is one of the most shameful things ever done by an American president.
As husband was listening to the droning on fox news this morning, a reporter asks: “imagine…”.
I started to yell: “we already have it with planned parenthood/dismemberment procedures, self-centered greedy liberal politicians & RINO’s, takeover on our borders, and a lawless society”….
We are kind of stuck here in America as we deal with our own depopulation krap per dr. fauci and bill gates-of-hell…we are stuck with trying not to ‘offend’ trans gendered kids as parents fight for their kid’s safety and fight against their own ‘terrorist’ labels…..we are stuck with harassment lawsuits or getting fired for looking at someone wrong or saying something wrong….we are getting pushed away from hotels and fear any traveling at this time. How much longer can America survive the divisions?
A very thorough summary. The only thing I can think to add is the delusional belief system that non-jihad supporting “ diplomats” who are really CIA assets like Madeline Allbright have that we want strength of our allies to be “ balanced” by the strength of our enemies. I see the present situation with a slight more bit of hope. Like all evil forces, the demonic have no bottom. By publicizing the barbarity of their ruthless and sadistic murder torture and rape of helpless civilians, the only people supporting them have “ shown their ass” to the world, and are being marginalized by anyone with sanity and humanity. Even the White House has come out against some of the comments of the hard core Marxists, surprising and for the wrong reason (distraction from their own foreign policy blunders that led to this). One of the most valuable classes I had in school was “Comparative Religions”. We read the Q’ran and studied Islam. Those who follow it literally are following are practicing a military and social manual for conquest and domination rather than a religion as most people understand them. Just like if the Jewish people literally followed the Old Testament, there would be no animals left on earth due to the massive amount of animal sacrifices demanded therein. I don’t think anyone is born with hate. It is created by brainwashing, and in some cases early trauma. I have dealt with a lot of evil people. It is usually infused at a very young age, and once there, almost impossible to change. The state just locked up one I have known since 13 for life with no parole. I knew it then, but it took 5 sex offense convictions over a 24 year period and God knows how many unidentified victims before a judge put the public first. People like Soros, Obama and Jarrett want us at each other’s throats and to destroy that country, but we don’t have to participate.

I wanted to tell the story of when my brother was in Vietnam in 1967 ish….I was in 6th grade. My brother would send odd pictures from over there, and here he had sent some pictures of dead soldiers lying on the ground, covered with some weeds. They were shocking pictures needless to say….
Since we were studying ‘war’ at that time, I brought these pictures to school to show the classmates…..then came the moment the nun said: “Who brought these pictures to school?”…..I proudly raised my hand up, and went up to her….she was very angry and said: “don’t ever bring these kind of pictures to school again”….I was so confused as I thought this was reality and this is what is going on in the world…I felt like a crushed ‘investigative reporter’! [Maybe this is why I never went into reporting?].
I never got the opportunity to tell my brother that I completely empathized with what he had to do those years in Vietnam…he was never the same brother ever again….but I remember he said: “don’t blame my alcoholism on Vietnam” and he blamed my dad instead. Those old wars really did a number on many men…and no one gets out okay….(if on the front lines).
I was too young to get drafted by two years, but I saw many who came back so messed up by trauma and drugs that they were never the same. Since I was also old enough to know numerous WWII and Korea veterans fairly well including my wife’s grandfather, who served on submarine in WWI and was a Naval doctor on a hospital ship at Iwo Jima treating the horrific wounds from the battle in WWII, there was something different about those wars that were being fought to win with the country behind them, as opposed to the endless political insurgencies our crooked politicians have gotten us into since Vietnam. Maybe those guys were stronger and tougher people, but for some reason the effects seemed different or they did a better job of hiding it.
I recently read a study showing that PTSD and veteran suicides were linked to IED’s and other explosives blowing up in close proximity to soldiers. The theory is that the explosions caused brain trauma and that caused a higher incidence of PTSD/suicide later on. You mentioned WWII vets coming back less messed up than from the modern wars and this is something I’ve pondered as well. For the longest time I believed the men were just tougher back then…and also what you said about the country supporting them better back then. But ever since I read that study about the explosives I’ve wondered if that has something to do with it also. There were stronger explosives blowing up in closer proximity to soldiers heads in Iraq/Afganistan than in previous wars and also injured soldiers have had better survival rates.
Those are all great points. I think there is also a psychological factor involved. If your hands are tied by crazy political rules of engagement, and you can’t identify the enemy from civilians or do anything about it until they open fire, like portrayed in”The Hurt Locker”, at some point you realize you are political cannon fodder. In previous wars there were two goals. Kill the enemy and control territory. Not now.

My friend’s son went to Afghanistan, returning as colin kaepernick-dick was doing his ‘knee-bending’ crap/showing disrespect to the American flag….he defended colin by saying: “I protect their right to do it…but I have the right to call them idiots”.

Interesting that I watched a Golda Meir interview (d 1978). She was prime minister of Israel from 1969-74 and helped forge Israel’s independence in 1948.
I was not aware she was born in Kiev, and raised in Milwaukee. She was fluent in English (no accent) Yiddish and Hebrew.
What struck me was that this seemed to be a very open, thoughtful, practical woman. You may want to do an examination of her BL. She posited that her mantra was to protect all civilian enemies. It is also reported she sought to forge peaceful resolutions.

Since I know you and I see eye to eye on self defense with firearms, I wanted to tell everybody about Inbar Lieberman, age 25, and security director of the only raided kibbutzim that was not overrun and massacred by the savages. She saw the smoke and the terrorists coming, and because she had gone through all the paperwork to purchase an arsenal for her kibbutz , she distributed semi- automatic firearms to eight trained residents and deployed them, winning a four hour firefight with the bloodthirsty fanatics, and personally sending five of them to hell where they belong. If Israel were wise they would not only stop prohibiting firearms, but issue them. Almost every citizen has served two years of military service there.
