Welcome to the future. Elections used to be about convincing people to cast their vote in a certain way. Now that ballot trafficking is the way to victory, debates and campaigning serve no function. Wonder what DeSantis is up to. I don’t trust the people financing or promoting him. Namely the Bushite neocons and neverTrumpers.

Got some bad consultants giving him bad advice. He should wait until 28′. Tangling with trump will bloody him up.

He’s responding to the media like they have the maturity of a child who is repeatedly asking a question they know he’s not ready to answer yet. Sounds about right! Due to legal/regulatory reasons, someone will begin “campaigning” unofficially until they’re ready to make that official declaration. During that time, they deflect and demure when asked if they are running. Standard practice. Trump and every other candidate has done it.

Also, he’s clearly not beholden to any neocon/RINO/establishment/globalist donor class if you’ve been paying attention. Such people have given Trump money as well.

I don’t understand why liking Trump means I have to hallucinate that DeSantis is evil.

Trump held a rally in Florida. DeSantis, the Governor, wasn’t there. It was a deliberate snub. DeSantis wouldn’t have even been the governor at that time had Trump not stepped in and went all out in support of DeSantis. He was losing badly, until Trump helped him. Trump’s home in Florida was raided by the FBI. Again, DeSantis, the Governor of Florida, said nothing about it. Funny how DeSantis supported Trump and then suddenly went silent. DeSantis could have put himself in a great position for 2028 with MAGA at his side; but not anymore. My motto when things don’t make sense is “Follow the money.” Not saying he’s evil. Only saying he’s just another politician for sale. That’s why MAGA won’t support him again.

I agree. I believe he also has to resign as governor if he announces he is running for federal office. I think he has been getting bad advice from the same loser consultants that mainstream Republicans listen to. Now he is screwed either way. Shows a lack of decisiveness and waffling, exactly what we do not need.

Nope. He just signed a law that got it changed, so he’s free to announce his candidacy now while continuing to be the governor there. Of course, once he starts campaigning, he’ll be busy everywhere except he won’t be in FL doing his job for the most part. My thinking is if he can betray Pres. Trump’s trust, then betray the people of FL’s trust, what could possibly make me think that he wouldn’t betray the trust of the American citizens for the pieces of silver the wef and their ilk give him.

Just saw that this morning. When he was riding high in the polls, my only comment was that he doesn’t have a lot of money, has young kids and a young wife and probably has no idea how viscous the assault and the temptations will be should he be the front runner. The law fare alone would have him bankrupt before the election, and if others paid his legal bills he will be in their pocket. He should have deferred or jumped in at that point, but waffled, showing questionable judgement and character.

He hasn’t signed it yet. He’s on a “book tour” out of the country, but it’s on his desk waiting for his signature. He’s expected to announce mid-May (unless his handler’s change their minds). Just saw that Sundance wrote an interesting, in-depth article on his website [the conservative treehouse dot com]. From his article: “I have long ago accepted this DeSantis construct has been several years in the making, and it is a demonstrable certainty that all of the action since late 2021 was done to lay the stage for a massive deception upon the voters of Florida. This campaign operation, and the astroturf assembled to assist it, has been a GOPe operation for a long time. The assembled team is a who’s-who of GOPe operatives and DC professional republicans. There’s not a single outsider among them.”

Endorsements by Ken Griffin, (of Citadel, and who destroyed a legitimate attempt to wrest Illinois back from the Marxists before bailing out to Florida), Meghan McCain, Piers Morgan, Rupert Murdoch and his sons, and Rodney Davis, (think Adam Kinzenger without the crying) do not create any credibility whatsoever. In fact, the only two people endorsing him I sort of like are Chip Roy and Ken Cuccinelli. Griffin, in particular has a long history of financially supporting Republican candidates who are really Democrats- he also donated 1 million to Obama.

Some questions for you.

1. If DeSantis were considering running against Trump, would it be appropriate to attend his rally? Probably not, right? Maybe that’s why he didn’t.

2. DeSantis seems to avoid giving kneejerk reactions to breaking news. I appreciate that. I thought his comments on the Florida raid were spot on (a sham put on by a Soros prosecutor), even if he wasn’t the first to speak up. Why would the governor of Florida (or any state outside New York) need to be quick to comment on that?

3. How many times did Trump attack DeSantis before he finally started counterpunching just a little bit (triggering howls from OnlyTrumpers)?

4. 2020 was stolen. Before the election we were assured that Trump had “an army of lawyers” ready to go to court if the election was not fair. Well…you know how that went. Now 2024, not only is the election fraud still with us, there are the string of indictments. He may assure us that he has that under control, but does he? We know they’re all a sham, but if they put him in enough legal limbo to ruin him in the primaries, would you really prefer Nikki Haley over DeSantis? Maybe it’s not a bad idea for him to keep the door open in this crucial election.

I like Trump and want him to be elected in 2024. But only if he earns it. He made mistakes in his first term (and since then). He has endorsed establishment RINOs (Lindsey Graham, Oz, McConnell…). MAGA knows he’s wrong about them. He ruined his own presidency by choosing Jeff Sessions and then Bill Barr for AG. He chose a lot of others to be in his administration who also stabbed him in the back. He kept and empowered Fauci. 100% his fault. He has to own that and explain to MAGA how he won’t let such poor choices happen again.

And then there’s the vaccine. We all know it’s awful. We need to hear him pivot on that.

I will vote for whoever is most America First. Trump was all about that in 2016. I would rather he go back to that, because spending his time attacking a strong conservative governor does not impress me. He seems to feel entitled to a coronation. He won 2016 because he came to MAGA. He needs to do that again, rather than expect MAGA to come to him.

If you do some research, you will have the answers to those questions. Respectfully, I don’t have the time to do it for you. Go to reliable alt news sources, like Citizen Free Press, Gateway Pundit, and many others. Also read the comments on those sites, as well. I think then you will begin to put the pieces together and come to your own conclusions.

Nonna, if you have “done your research,” why do you claim that DeSantis was “silent” in response to the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago? A quick google search will remind you that he condemned it the same day.

“The raid on [Mar-a-Lago] is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves,” DeSantis tweeted Monday night, hours after news broke that the FBI had searched Trump’s residence.”

OnlyTrumpers don’t want to address the uncomfortable truths I brought up. They would rather make unsubstantiated smears that DeSantis is controlled by RINO donors. Oh, and he eats pudding with his fingers. And he’s de-sanctimonious…

Trump 2024 and DeSantis 2028 sounds ideal to me right now. But if Trump doesn’t get serious, I would prefer DeSantis run now. Trump has got to have a rock solid judicial solution for stiff-arming the sham indictments that have been strategically timed and planned out for campaign season. He must clearly pivot on the vaccine (Operation Warp Speed was a disaster that’s still not over, not a “feather in his cap” to be proud of). And he needs to own and correct his mistakes with personnel staffing/appointments/endorsements.

I’m not seeing the Trump from 2016. His focus is less on America First, and more about “I deserve 2024 and no one should challenge or question me.”
