I am immediately suspicious of any investigation that emanates from the United States Department of Injustice, even more so of lawyers who are former employees thereof. Looking for what I call the “Mirror Effect” President Trump is accused of corruption with Russians when it is actually Clinton and Democrat operatives. President Trump is accused of a Quid Pro Quo with the President of Ukraine when it is really Joe Biden and Hunter. Wonder who is really sex trafficking? Where are the illegal alien minors really going?

The most recent high profile thing he did is lead a rally to take out Liz Cheney, the war mongering RINO. Not surprising that he would be targeted by the Department of Injustice right after. My 90 year old father told me recently that I would not believe a news report of a car accident in front of my house unless I looked out the window first to see it. He meant it as an insult, but I took it as a compliment.
You’re giving credence to the allegations by a newspaper that pushed the pee tapes, Russia conspiracy, that the US was founded in 1619 to promote slavery and that Biden is mentally competent to name just a few lies.
You’re buying into the same conspirators who lied about sinister foreign connections to get illegal wiretaps to frame innocent Americans.
What proof have you seen that he had any relationship with a 17 year old? Shouldn’t you wait for that before accepting Deep Staters and NYT anonymous sources no matter how much you dislike Gaetz?
I do believe Gaetz for a couple of reasons that I don’t want to get into. He’s got to be stressed to the max right now, which is why I think he was so deadpan in his statements. We’ve seen this ploy before from the deep state, so it shouldn’t come as a big surprise. I’m not sure what Mandy means by the “plastic look”, but I have seen that look many times and saw it right away in Matt Gaetz. It makes me think Cole Porter or Vincente Minnelli, if you know what I mean.
plastic is part of a personality. meaning they mold their life around what ever is driving it. Could be money driven, attention, but most of the time it is ego.
Thank you for that explanation, Mandy. Now I remember that expression for what you describe. It’s been a while since I’ve heard that. The word “look” added to it threw me off. For me, I see a way some people look as if their faces are a shiny or smooth stretched plastic that tells me something else.
But did he do it? Is he guilty? Would (or would have) appreciated your thoughts on whatever “tells” Gaetz gives toward guilt or innocence. He has overgone a fairly significant transformation from his first days in congress — i.e weight loss (good for him), hair style, possible facial enhancements (underscore possible). Regardless, the key is did he do it? Is he telling the truth? Props to Gaetz for leveraging this opportunity as best he could and not fumbling it. There’s significant smoke here. We’ll see if there’s any fire. Thanks, as always, Mandy (sp?), for all you do!

IDK about anyone else, but my initial concern when this story broke was that Gaetz had been caught with an underage boy. ?♀️ Something about Gaetz gives me pause (maybe it’s the plastic?), but his voting record does tend to be conservative. If he has been grooming older teens/young adults, I pray for them to receive justice, regardless of Gaetz’ voting record.
Do you mean Nestor? Gaetz was dating the boy’s sister at one time. The mother died and Gaetz took Nestor (a legal immigrant from Cuba) in and raised him. He refers to Nestor as his “son”. I found a telling quote in an article wherein Katie Hill (a Democrat politician who works or worked with the homeless) said: “Many of you know @mattgaetz & I have an unlikely friendship,” Hill tweeted. “I can’t stand a lot of his beliefs but he’s been there for me when others haven’t. He talks about Nestor more than anything, has done so much for his son & is truly a proud dad. This #freenestor thing is bulls—.
