Robert, if he survives without getting shanked, will have to get pulled out of there. Though he clumsily occasionally tries to play his role, even that is based on his own assumptions of what inmates might think instead of reality. He communicates that he is not one of them with everything he does and says. Maybe they will try to insert him in another pod, but his reputation will quickly spread before he gets there. He strikes me as the type of guy who will go to social work school to help the inmates go straight and then gets taken hostage in a breakout attempt due to his lack of situational awareness.ReplyCancel

Ahh…memories. Good choice to do. Another good one was “Jail”. Used to use clips of the Correctional Officers at the Clark County Jail in Vegas in my crisis intervention trainings as examples of staff body language that either helped resolve the situation or made it worse by inciting someone. There was one officer that I nicknamed “The Rocket Launcher”, another that was really good at defusing people who were not only agitated, but high or drunk. Looking forward to more of these!ReplyCancel

The story that Carol gave originally is different from the current one in one specific respect: In the original, she said “Early, early, early …. Miami.” In the modern recounting, she said, “Early, early, early … (eye roll, slight hesitation with a couple more words) Costa Rica.” The difference is huge between a short flight to Miami and an impossible flight to Costa Rica, but which backs her alternate story of crashing in the ocean or some such thing.ReplyCancel

Hmm..the meat grinder. Unfortunately, I have seen many of these attention seekers who are in portrayal at all times. Some people seem to think of them as charismatic or refreshingly blunt, when they are usually hiding lack of self esteem and lack honesty. This one seems to have a more sinister psychopathic streak.ReplyCancel

Now I understand my father’s need for attention. That explains a lot about my childhood. It wasn’t about me, it was his attention seeking personality.ReplyCancel

  • redneckdavinciJune 26, 2020 - 2:31 pm

I do get tired of the mischaracterization of anarchy. It’s a political belief in which associations are voluntary. It also follows natural law, which doesn’t accept aggression. But it does support self rule. The only “anarchist” group involved with this violence is the black bloc. Which is really a cover for cops inciting violence. The state hates anarchy because it doesn’t include parasitic government. And the people are ignorant enough to let the state think for them.ReplyCancel

  • Natalie FMay 13, 2020 - 6:58 am

There’s something desperately wrong with a society that continues to indulge these personality types. The difference between “lord antman” and Charles Manson??.. He hasn’t asked his disciples to kill for him yet. (At least not to our knowledge) I had chosen not to watch this series just based on the previews, and after this video I feel justified in that decision. I think Toby Keith named an album with these three in mind… “White trash with money”. On the list of people who could fall off the Earth and we’d all be better for it, they each have infinite potential to make the top ten. In an ironic twist, they’d all be happy with the “distinction”. Isn’t narcissism fun?ReplyCancel

    • Cindy DelkMay 19, 2020 - 10:53 pm

I for one, love it. It is a fascinating look at what makes people do what they do. I would also like to see BLG analyze a video with Charles Manson. I’m here to see what makes people tick, not because I like or don’t like the subject studied. I agree, I wish all the manipulating users in our world, would just fall off the earth, but sense they are here, I would like to understand it better.ReplyCancel

      • Natalie FMay 20, 2020 - 4:58 pm

I agree that it’s fascinating in the same way it’s hard to look away from a train wreck. That being said, when I stated there is something wrong with a society that continues to indulge these personality types I was referring to their “disciples”, the people feeding their dysfunction on a daily basis, not those of us intrigued by the analysis of their psyche.ReplyCancel

I have heard that this series is very popular. After watching this it seems like many viewers are drawn like a moth to a flame watching the interactions between people with Cluster B personality disorders. Having had my fill of them attempting to keep them in check for 40 years, my first reaction is the most extreme form of social distancing- run away as fast as possible.ReplyCancel
