I think these two women who appeared on the old Groucho Marx show, “You Bet Your Life,” were a lot more funny (and genuine), but again, not necessarily amazing:

If you liked that one, here is their second appearance the next week. The line I like the best is when Groucho says, “I’m sure you girls go dancing every night.” The quick, perfectly unison response, “No.”

Since someone mentioned Groucho…..I’ve read almost everything in print about him, he was a very complicated individual. All of his wives turned to alcoholism, he had estranged relationships with his children, just to name a few things. Since he deflects almost everything with a pun I bet he’d be an interesting subject for a video. There are plenty of interviews of him, of course he was an old vaudevillian ham…..I guess the issue would be most people these days not knowing who he is.

It is not a rule of thumb but I noticed that much good comedians are the opposite in their private life. I see that also in normal life. The ones are extraordinary funny have something to hide. Compensation is the word.
A collega of mine was called “happy peter”. Turns out he was deeply manic depressive. I know many comparable cases. Also in my private life.
If someone is TO funny or happy, something is fishy

Mandy and us show to much frustration to fall in that category. crying

As for hypothesis: Depresion you must embrase. You will get sick off it eventualy. It can be fun to be sarcastic about yourself. Just look at ghotic.

warning: this is to simplistic. But running from it is not the answer.

Time for something personal.
I never could indentify with the most common depression types. The only one which I could indentify myself was “Dysthyme” (don’t know the translation) A continious state of depression. With that it is hard to determine if something is part of a depression or your own personality. Also to get the diagnose is hard and rare.
I can’t tell more, but try to imagine that continious state.

Good grief! Do you actually remember that show?

Those sisters were very entertaining. The twins, on the other hand, were too stilted and obviously taking cues from each other. Hard to believe they can capitalize on such a bad performance.

I find this shtick kind of gross. I don’t find them funny. Why would anyone want to think that they are the same person as a sibling?

You have got to ask yourself “why?” I guess you would have to be a twin to understand.

Think about the easily amused people and you have your answer. They also get bored quickly so it is just their 15 minutes of fame.

Only the slooww kkiinnddd offf talking puts me off already. It is however a nice effort. It make me think about what’s needed to perform this flawlessly. Synchronised talking is not new. Not knowing beforehand what to say is. (i think) You have to synchronise brains. That is food for my thought.
Thanks for this piece Mandy.

It’s really interesting that the line on the tower between them makes it appear like it’s a flipped image standing side by side.

The first thing I noticed is they speak so robotically. Immediately I’m thinking it’s a gimmick! 😝
